Find ocean surface albedo from a look up table


Input the following four parameters and spectral band:

Solar zenith angle (deg):
Surface wind speed (m/s):
Aerosol/cloud optical depth at 500nm:
Chlorophyll concentraion (mg/m3):
Spectral band, from to (um)


Note: The four input parameters here have most important effect on ocean albedo. Many others, such as ozone, water vapor, and cloud height etc., also affect the albedo, but are minor. Effect by ocean sediments might be large, but it is limited to some small coastal areas. For detailed calculations with different atmospheric and oceanic properties, you need to use the Coupled Ocean Atmosphere Radiative Transfer model (COART).
